Here’s an answer for you: find a competitive niche and start blogging!

Has the thought crossed your mind, “how am I going to compete against companies with pockets as big as Texas, and build a successful online business?”

If what I just said feels like shooting for the stars, I say keep shooting until you hit.

For the next five days, I’m going to give you 5 ways to get around the well-established players of online marketing, and tackling top niches you thought you would never be able to compete in – after which, you just might decide, I can do this.

#1 – Know your target

So what does “knowing your target” have to do with taking on a competitive niche market? Let me give you an example.

You decide you want to go fishing; so you get your rod & reels together, your tackle box, bait (live & fake), your chair, and head off to the lake.

Question, what’s your target?

If you went to your garage and got a 5” reel, holding 25 lbs test line, you know you’re not going fishing for a 200 lb marlin. Your target is catching smaller fish.

It’s the same with competitive niche marketing. Here in this example, anglers would be your target market. By thinking the way angler’s think, you’re able to ask yourself,

  • What type of rod and reels are anglers looking for?
  • Where are the best places to go?
  • What type of tackle is best, live or lures?

The trick to finding your niche is to listen to what people are saying.

» Be prepared to change your way of thinking, strategy, and product if necessary.

» Never get emotionally attached to a product that won’t sell because you like it.

Successfully affiliate site keep up with the latest trends, and with their target market by listening.
